Civil Engineers at MIT have announced that they are developing a new type of concrete that is extremely resistant to deformation over time and is exponentially stronger and more durable than standard concrete. The use of this new ultra high density concrete will have enormous environmental implications, given its ability to deliver lighter, stronger structures able to last for up to 16,000 years, while drastically decreasing the carbon emissions sent into the atmosphere by its inferior predecessor.
