wow. kinda old school.
Has anyone else noticed what appears to be a recent trend in Performing arts centers to insert multiple completely suspended or isolated "boxes" within the envelope?
For example this project and Grimshaw's RPI among others. Or has this been done for a long time?
thats one of the two oma-standard-procedure-designs: a box, and some things added or hangin around or in the box itself, and a sort of ramp is obligatory, too

hideous
sverris, what do you think is the other oma-standard-procedure-design?
This is like a Jane's Addiction reunion tour - kinda rad, kinda "who cares?". I lean more toward the former, I guess.
Props to Adam Frampton!
it's kinda like a tres grande bibliotheque spilling its insides out 'cause the box is too small.
