This seems more of a 'fun stand' than a phone. I suspect long lines if it ever to be built.
We should stop thinking of it as a Pay phone. Start thinking of how phones have evolved. i can do all the things this entry can do on my phone already, so why would i use it? there are times, however, when my phone's battery is low and a "pay-charger" would be useful. One of those super fast chargers. While you wait, unless you are making a call, local advertisements can keep me from total boredom.
And sorry, not checking Facebook so everyone and their mother can see personal info.
And there's no reason the design or scale has to even remotely relate to old pay phones like this does. Keep it simple, quick, easy and useful. A.K.A. - need a quick charge? Do it here for ($) and a 25% off Starbucks coupon will upload to your Starbucks app on your phone.
