The NYT discusses Shigeru Ban's paper-composite footbridge, over the Gardon River in the south of France. The bridge's steps are constructed from a new material called ProFi, assembled from paper and plastic left over from the manufacture of self-adhesive labels, similar to that of his Artek pavilion on display at Design Miami.
