awesome!
CH:IP is a looker and is for winner. But not unconditionally. I like the kill button and the upholstered tardigrada wrap but minus the ordinary wood frame, which is a little behind the promise of the future the building screams for. I also find the slightly overblown size cumbersome. It has an energetic shape that associates with tech-product aesthetic successfully to any juror's delight. It should win the competition because it trumps all others in conversations. Its interior space evokes school's early rhombic manifestos, possibly unbeknownst to the design team. It is very 'SCI Arc-ian' if there is a terminology like that.
I like the Canadian “TURTLE” also, for immediate purchase, comfort and its relationship to land. It looks modularized and compact. Its form is not unexciting either. I like its easy and useful go around plan and support of tribal family occupation. It is well focused to particular client. Overall, it could use a little more experimental spirit for next version, easing into surrounding flatness.
Are the solar houses getting bigger each year? And, what's with all that crowd control chain rails?
Oh wait, I favor HAWAII too...

But!
standings so far;
I am surprised by the scores.. When it comes to architecture, market doesn't like experimentation nor progressive ideas. Our housing industry is the reflection of a conservative society. Check out the 'market appeal' jury..
