The massive, slow moving Sandcrawlers from George Lucas' Star Wars films inspired the form of his new regional headquarters in Singapore. Designed by Aedas, the Sandcrawler Building is neither rusty nor slow moving - the glassy and streamlined building will combine a high performance facade with lush gardens and foliage that spills over terraces, resulting in a highly efficient commercial space. — Inhabitat

George Lucas extends his shitty vision into an architectural abortion.
Why are architects always so damn critical about projects that aren't remotely bad? Save the word "abortion" for the stucco office building down the street and be glad that this isn't one of them.
I think the Sandcrawler comparison is pretty close, although I see the zoology as more protozoan-like or thin-shelled crustacean. The transparent skin hanging all-around the body with the little feet underneath all seems too delicate for a land animal. A tiny shellfish perhaps.

when shitty little stucco buildings get posted on archinect news sections then i'll refer to them as abortions. you're right though, if this thing does get built, it won't be an abortion, it be that freakish three headed child that, should've been aborted.
Betadine, what do you think is so bad about this building, that you are calling it an architectural abortion?
