The idea seemed brilliant: a celebration of rock 'n' roll's heritage housed in a unique building that is among Seattle's cultural jewels.
The expectations were huge -- that it would attract 800,000 visitors each year, provide a dazzling array of edgy exhibits, thrive without billionaire co-founder Paul Allen's dollars.
But five years later, the Experience Music Project hasn't lived up to those expectations.
There have been three rounds of layoffs, a revolving door for CEOs and far fewer visitors than projected.
