great choice.
but the US-based jury is disappointing for an award that boasts a worldwide outlook.
jury:
huxtable (new york)
newhouse (new york)
jimenez (texas)
gehry (california)
palumbo (london)
fehlbaum (switzerland)
doshi (india)
stein (new york)

Ex-bad boy architect wins field's top prize.....lol
I haven't seen such a cynical bunch of haters in my whole life. get over yourselves, really. I love it when guys putting together drawings for the next big Target store are tearing apart architects who do meaningful work. No matter who gets the award, the arm-chair critics show up and spout out mouth-fulls of crap.
great. now if only he'd do something about his painfully anal website.
'I'm an outsider'. Glancey gets in on the action.
