This post is brought to you by MIT Center for Real Estate
The MIT Master of Science in Real Estate Development (MSRED) offers an unparalleled education in real estate practice. Our groundbreaking MSRED degree presents a program that is rigorous, concentrated, multidisciplinary, and geared toward direct application.
Candidates for the MSRED degree often come to MIT with several years of experience within the built environment. The program offers students a chance to sharpen their skills by working with other professionals of exceptional promise. Building partnerships that will last long after graduation, MSRED students learn team building in an international context, applying research to real-world problems in a disciplined and intellectual framework.
If you would like to learn more about the MSRED Program at MIT, consider participating in one of our upcoming information sessions.
The online application is open from September 1-January 15, for enrollment in September 2025. Please visit our Admissions page for more information and application requirements.
The Center for Real Estate offers several fellowships for which MSRED students may apply. Applications for the CRE fellowships/fellow programs are submitted via the online MSRED Application.
Information about MIT's financial support for graduate students is available on the OGE website.
In addition, to further the Center for Real Estate’s mission to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in the real estate industry, applicants may avail themselves of the Center for Real Estate’s Graduate Application Assistance Program (GAAP), called Closing the GAAP.
Closing the GAAP is a volunteer-based, student-run program that aids applicants from communities historically underrepresented in higher education and the real estate industry. Eligible participants include individuals who identify with underrepresented racial or ethnic groups; individuals who identify with an underrepresented gender or orientation; first-generation students; individuals managing a disability; US Veterans; single parents; individuals with DACA status; or individuals who may have experienced a significant challenge in their path to graduate school.
Applicants are paired with a graduate student who can provide feedback on an application material of your choosing (Resume/CV; Statement of Objectives; Portfolio/Work Sample) to help create a stronger application. You may find more information about Closing the GAAP and how to take part by visiting us here.
