Interior designers and architects are often left out of the embodied carbon conversation, but the impact and opportunity with interior materials is huge–especially when you account for cyclical renovations over the building’s life. There are many ways to reduce the carbon footprint of a TI project, but doing that requires a shift in mindset.
This is the focus of an upcoming panel, the first of Parade's month+ long series of panels addressing critical issues for architects and designers, entitled "How Your Specs Can Solve the Climate Crisis."
The Interface-sponsored event will be moderated by Nadav Malin, President at BuildingGreen, with panelists Jennifer Chen, Interiors Associate at LMN, and Brent Ehrlich, Products & Materials Specialist at BuildingGreen. The virtual panel will take place via Zoom next next Tuesday, October 5th, from 1-2pm EST.
