As we mentioned in our profile on Alvin Huang's recent transition to working and teaching from his home, two of the events that he had been planning at the USC School of Architecture have managed to stay on schedule, by moving from physical events, to Zoom-based virtual events.
Alvin tell us that within 24 hours of announcing the events transition to online over 200 participants had registered for the events. Clearly, the architecture and design community is craving a connection and opportunity to learn during this time of self-isolation.
We feel that it is important to continue to carry on despite the troubling times we are living in, as it is important that we continue to define the culture of our community at a time when we need social interaction and intellectual stimulation more than ever" - Alvin Huang

Are you involved in a physical event that has stayed alive by shifting to a virtual format? Tell us about it, and add it to our events calendar on Bustler.
The Generation Next event was last night and the global interest in the work of our recent graduates was phenomenal, as we had 507 registrations and 347 attendees from 29 different countries!!
