WeWork has made great efforts as to integrating top design strategies and progressive data analytics to develop the most progressive buildings office spaces. Tapping into various elements of design, such as urban planning to design interiors, WeWork prides itself in its hand-selected team of designers, data analysts, and of course architects. Last year WeWork announced starchitect Bjarke Ingles as chief architect for the multi-billion dollar company. This week the company announced the hiring of Mexican architect Michel Rojkind as their senior VP of Architecture. However, what does that mean exactly?
Aside from now working with one of the largest office leasing companies in the world, Rojkind's professional career is comprised of high leveled projects and an array of design experience. After founding his firm Rojkind Architectos his portfolio is nothing short of a multifaceted collection of works. Many of his built projects fall under the Brutalist category like the Foro Boca and Tori Tori Altavista. However, do not let his interests in brutalism overshadow his work with algorithmic designs, hinting of the futuristic avant-garde aesthetic.
Recognized as an architect to watch in 2010, Rojkind has steadily made a name for himself within the profession. A visiting professor as well as an ex-musician for a favorite Mexican rock band, it is hard not to imagine the insight and energy Rojkind can bring to the table at WeWork. According to Fast Company, the architect's first order of business as the newly appointed VP of Architecture is to oversee the build of a 200,000 square foot office building in Bentonville, Arkansas.
I am sure we will hear more of Rojkind's name now with it is affiliated with the much talked about company. One thing is certain, WeWork is not shy when it comes to hiring heavy hitters in the architecture community. Who will WeWork hire next?

Somehow this article forgot to mention that Rojkind is related by marriage to the richest man in the world and this very likely has something to do both with the success of his practice and his relationship with WeWork.
"area man born on third believes he hit a triple"
