Night Time Is The Right Time | Until 15 August

In collaboration with the Mayor of London, this exhibition and event programme by the The Built Environment Trust explores our city after-hours. Looking at a range of reasons to be up after the sun, including social media and essential maintenance works, the exhibition will question the need and the potential of developing cities to work on a 24-hour basis.

Beyond Borders: Architecture Open | until 25 June

A community group, an architecture practice, and the Peabody Trust have come together to develop 3 vacant shops in Elephant and Castle. During the London Festival of Architecture, these shops will give practices and students the opportunity to showcase their work and ideas. After the festival ends, these converted spaces will become used for leading community classes.

Bringing the Outside In: California Midcentury Modern | 20 June

California was the home of a very distinctive branch of Modernism; the surrounding natural beauty and abundant light created a unique location in which to explore the architectural philosophy. This talk will feature scholars and practitioners, discussing the movement and its unique and glamourous place within history.

HUT in the Clouds | 15 June

In celebration of the LFA, HUT is running an open studio and Pecha Kucha, which looks at the unseen data behind some of their recent architectural projects. Going beyond what can be seen in an image, this event will utilise the forgotten material including acoustic recordings and three-dimensional data scans.

Feast on London’s memory | 16 June

The entirely edible sculpture will morph the memories of urban London through past and present. Looking at the changes from Roman settlement to its current metropolitan sprawl, the city we are surrounded by will be transformed from its heavy brick and steel to a much more temporary medium.

Drawing from Memories | 23 June

This workshop will be exploring drawing memories of a city, with a collaborative element of drawing the riverscape of London. Run with Urban Sketchers, this will be an exploration of how sketching can be an invaluable communication and development tool, as well as a way of bringing strangers together to create a 4-metre riverscape.
