The recent real-life sale of the character Jesse's house from the TV series "Breaking Bad" is a reminder of how many single-family properties have become cinematic icons (and how it's tricky for private residents to live in such public locales). Although the new owners of Jesse's house will probably be hearing "Yeah, bitch!" more often than usual, other famous houses come with their own particular baggage. Despite being owned by individuals, these otherwise ordinary homes have inadvertently become part of the imaginative public domain:
Mork and Mindy House
When Robin Williams tragically died in 2014, the "Mork and Mindy" house in Boulder, Colorado became an impromptu memorial site. U.S. representative Jared Polis went so far as to dress up in Mork costume and tweet of a picture of himself standing outside the house.
Six Feet Under House
Although many of the interiors on "Six Feet Under" are sound-stages, the familiar diagonal sweep of the famous fictional Fisher and Diaz mortuary's front yard and its ample front porch (which served as a great brooding spot for the broodiest of them all, Nate Fisher) can still be seen in the West Adams neighborhood of Los Angeles, although the current owners do not appreciate finding dead bodies on the steps.
Walter White's House
Speaking of leaving unwanted mementos, the Alburquerque roof of "Breaking Bad" character Walter White's former domicile has been pelted with pizzas by a parade of people to celebrate the famous scene in the usually meth-centric television show. Creator Vince Gilligan eventually had to take to his "Better Call Saul" podcast and ask fans to stop throwing pizzas out of respect for the people actually living inside.

I had to look up the Top Gun House, as that's the only example of "movie house" I've been around for any period of time. I'm pretty sad to see what's happened too it...
Pictures, Mr. Wiggin!
Here it is it it's current state:
People get very attached to famous buildings-a friend at Durham University was telling me about this http://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/news/1116059.the_fight_for_get_carter_house/ - to me it seems like just a house but to the region it's a treasured relic that not only shouldn't be torn down but should be preserved in all its film time glory
