Home Tours! Networking and getting some SoCal sun!
I'm excited for the home tours, Water Conservation and the Californian Drought, and Prefab Architecture of the Border!
I'm excited for all the new building material and the forms they can take to better improve the quality of living conditions of dwellers.
I'd be most excited for the Exhibitions. I love looking at all the different vendors and seeing what unique products they have available.
Excited to listen to some designer and architects speak at the event as well as look at new building materials and products that are coming to market!
I'm most excited about the exhibit halls and listening to the speakers. I'd love to do a home tour too.
Perhaps what seems most appealing about Dwell on Design LA is its ability to bring inspiration to, essentially, anyone who is interested in the fast-changing future of architecture and design. Not only will I be excited to experience modernity in a controlled and balanced setting, I am also excited to absorb and learn from the information brought forth by speakers and design-seekers alike. Attending this conference will undoubtedly enhance my knowledge in the field of design, incorporating the new-found tools into my architectural and sustainable design studies at UC Berkeley for the remaining two years I have there.
I'm so excited to see the new products the vendors have to display, the speakers and the 3d printer!
I'm interested in the prefab homes as well as seeing new products in the exhibit halls.
I'm most excited to exploring a couple of things at the Dwell Design LA show: 1) exhibits showing growing developments into furniture and interior architecture. 2( the Dwell home tours and 3)the most exciting event I would like to have an opportunity to attend, "Letting the Landscape Speak: Inspired Design for Outdoor Living." as we begin to explore where our relationship with landscape must change as reinterpretations of what works now to what needs to work - this envisioned to allows for questions of drought as sn inspiration to the landscape to become a landscape intervention capable of thriving despite veryr small water parametres in place/
Just. How. Excited. Are. You? So excited that you make your very first post on archinect? Please, tell me more about your excitement.
I'm rather not excited at all.
Definitely want to pick up some ideas for kitchen design and design for small yards! Can't wait to visit!
L.A. Architecture with Moby!
I'm so excited I just pissed in my pants.
Am I excited?
Hey, regulars, do you guys ever actually read before snarking? Quoted directly from the post:

Advice: If you've ever responded to an RFQ, and they request that you "Tell us why you are uniquely qualified for this project", you will most likely respond with the phrase "My firm is uniquely qualified for this project because of our blah blah etc etc....." A simple, direct response that answers exactly the question they are asking is more likely to not get tossed out because the reviewer didn't get enough sleep last night.
Also, to support my statement a little: I've spoken to several people on admissions/hiring committees recently who have told me that when it comes to portfolio reviews/latter of interest/etc they are looking for an application that directly responds to their inquiries for what the position entails. The more time they have to spend digging out the content within a bunch of stylistic fluff, the less likely they are to pay attention to it.
Just trying to be helpful.
