To me, Moneo's best works are those that are inserted into a place built up 100+ years ago. The dialog between his buildings and their context is always what puts his work a cut above. I guess it helps to work in a region rife with old architecture... But this, standing alone in the middle of a verdant green, looks like failure of planning. With little connection to the heart of the city, they're going to have to have one hell of a collection to make this work the way they want to.
