If you ask some averge american who was the most famous architect almost all who say Frank Lloyd Wright. It is uncanny. I think Wright was the first Star-Architect. FLW was V ERY media savy and today's wanna be Star-achitects should study his celebrity-making moves, at least as architectural history.
When my ex was copiling the Met's ART ON FILM list of know films on architecture Wright was the single architect with multiple films on him or his work. Short and in color, these art films were shown at museams in the 50s and 60s. Television appaerances like Whats My Line , were an extensuion of his PR machine. The beginnuing of the "Wright" cult-of-personality.
Frank was a good architect and still a good architect. He is indeed a famous architect and someone who the upcoming architects and young architects should have as a role model.
Fun, if a little painful, to watch. Thanks for posting, Orhan.
As for the advice to today's wannabe starchitects to emulate FLW's savvy moves, don't forget to leave your wife and children for a younger hottie. Always a headline grabber!

I like how Mr. Daly has to constantly re-qualify what FLW really does, unless that is how the game was played....
in short it sounds like the architect is involved in everything - acoustics, painting, law, industry, self-employed, profitable, philanthropy, etc...
