Space Rites: Interactive Installation & Performance Series
After the success of their musical architecture Dithyrambalina campaign, New Orleans Airlift is working with sound artist Taylor Lee Shepherd and the Lower 9th Ward community in an interactive art installation at the deconsecrated St. Maurice Church. As performers and visitors sing, dance, and speak, Shepherd's reclaimed-TV oscilloscopes will translate the sounds into responsive visuals in the church. Funds will support materials for artwork production and pay the musical performers.
Dirty Furniture is a new indie biannual design magazine founded and edited by an experienced group of design writers consisting of Pete Maxwell, Anna Bates, and Elizabeth Glickfeld. Each issue focuses on a piece of furniture as its theme and uses it to explore and provoke discussion on topics like politics, design, history, psychology, and art. The campaign will support production and the launch of Issue 1: Couch.
Describing the Swing Bin as a trash can almost sounds insulting. Created by Shigeichiro Takeuchi, the Swing Bin gained popularity because of its simple aesthetic and formal design. With his product now in high demand, Takeuchi is gathering funds to support manufacturing costs and bring the Swing Bin to the masses.
LittleRP - 3D Resin Printer
To all the model builders, jewelers, and makers out there -- rejoice! The LittleRP 3D resin printer is a recent effort to make highly detailed resin printing more accessible and cost-friendly to the growing resin-printing community. Out of a $25,000 goal, the LittleRP Kickstarter garnered over $120K.
HomeMake is a video game created by architecture students/gaming aficionados Franklin Cosgrove (Cory) + Archgame (Matt). With its cyberpunk vibe, the game represents a continuously changing city that adapts and morphs to each unique user. The initial Kickstarter was a success last month, but Cosgrove and Archgame continue to post updates as they further develop the game.
Go Fund Me campaign:
Hey Let's Buy Neverland Ranch!
The Neverland Ranch of the one and only Michael Jackson is going up for auction. What fate awaits the infamous ranch? Mark Blackwell -- screenwriter, artist, and co-founder of fashion magazine NYLON -- enthusiastically recalls the day he met the pop star and is very keen on raising up to $75 million to purchase and preserve the property.
