Guided by the concept of Genius Loci, or the spirit of the place, the design process was deeply influenced by the site's existing flora and fauna. These natural elements, which had contributed to the site's rich biodiversity, were essential in shaping the built environment. By integrating these components into the design, we created multifaceted spaces that offer a variety of sensory experiences and unique ambient qualities.
The design concept involved creating an aperture within the landscaped dense forest canopy, allowing soft light to penetrate deeply into space. The integration of the existing abandoned structures was carefully considered and incorporated into the design. The approach to the site went beyond traditional space-making, prioritizing and accommodating the lives of all forms within the space.
