Urania Forum Berlin

The new vision for the Urania Science Center.

The primary task was to design a structure that clearly articulates the
important scientific institution within the complex city landscape.

Our vision's key aspects:
- Systhematic nature of the science, represented by the symmetry axes
derived from the octagonal form.
- Openness to the public, achieved through the arcade on the ground
floor and the circular orientation of the facades.
- The permanence and longevity of knowledge, symbolized by the
solidity and “heaviness” of the form and material.

In collaboration with Laurenz Schröder.
