New York, NY
This renovation involved the conversion of a three-family house into a single-family residence. The top floor became two home-office spaces, while the second floor was redesigned to include two bedrooms with en suite bathrooms and a laundry room.
This project is distinguished by meticulous attention to detail in the design of the built-in millwork, which included a hallway photograph library, custom closet organization, and natural-finish walnut doors with frosted glass panels. The completed project is unified through a consistency of architectural finishes and synchronization of construction details. The result is an elegant whole that is sensitive to prewar details of the existing house while introducing a modern sensibility that addresses the family’s needs.
