Previously recognized as a SRO building, currently this four floor townhouse is a mixed use residential unit. The project scope consisted of gut renovation of the top two floors converting them into a luxury duplex apartment.
A double height cut-out connecting the two floors creates an amazing play of light as it refracts light from the skylight above.
The Clients wanted to give this house a contemporary parisian aesthetic. This was achieved by using clean line moldings and simple geometries. Another striking architectural feature of the house is the angled soffit under the duplex stair. Keeping it open allowed the clients to have a flexible play pen for their growing family.
