Gågate Gardens is a 110,000 ft2 mixed-use building currently in development in Ski, Norway.  Ski is the fastest growing city in Norway, and will be a short 10 minute commute from downtown Oslo with the planned addition of a high speed rail.  Gågate Gardens, located adjacent to Ski City Hall, will help reestablish the old city center through a vibrant mix of retail, office, housing, parks, and gardens.  The building will integrate innovative sustainable strategies including an all-timber cross-laminated-timber structure, roof parks, and community gardens, in direct contrast to the dull brick office buildings nearby.
