Het Open IJnde is a building located on the new islands of IJburg in Amsterdam. It has 20 apartments, 2 collective spaces and an internal parking garage. A covered terrace on the first storey flows via an embankment with a ramp, stairway amphitheatre and slide into a collecive garden on the waterside. This is a deliberate way to stage encounters. All the floor plans and many interiors were designed by the architects, in collaboration with the residents.
