This difficult end of terrace gap site had a ten year history of failed planning applications by other architects.
We secured planning consent first time round and have overseen the project to completion. The design is a positive and contemporary response to a tight urban site and overcomes a number of challenges including adjoining terraces and protected trees.
The palette of materials includes a London Stock brick with recessed horizontal joints, a slate roof and timber clad dormer windows.
A new front courtyard landscape ties the two houses together.
