The E-ZPass Service Center consists of a new, universally accessible home for the Boston E-ZPass Service Center, and exterior and site renovation to an Eisenhower-era Massachusetts DOT facility.
The Service Center is housed in a formerly underused garage bay, and provides an improved environment for patrons and workers. The design maximizes the limited available space to greatly increase the number of workstations, waiting area, and back-of-house work areas.
The design includes bold signage to increase visibility from nearby highways. This consists of a brightly colored signage bar that wraps from the exterior canopy structure into the interior space, where it becomes a signage and lighting element, unifying the space and signifying the Service Center entrance.
