Currently, I am a second-year MBA and senior undergraduate architecture student at Washington University in St. Louis. I would like to use both degrees to inform my design thinking, as well as to learn frameworks for managing design and business processes. My MBA coursework thus far has focused on strategy, data analysis, operations, and marketing. Not only am I an extremely hard-working and creative student, but I have also grown adept at juggling a variety of philanthropic and extra-curricular responsibilities. I have found that I am ultimately more fulfilled when the diversity of my involvements is balanced. By taking great pride in my work and staying organized, I can ensure the satisfaction of both myself and my superiors. More importantly, I am an outgoing, upbeat person who tries to have fun and maintain a positive attitude in everything I do.
Throughout my studies and internships, I have grown to understand that my design approach can be summarized by two complementary constructs. The first is an organizational system rooted in analysis, whether based on functional needs, aesthetic consistency with the project’s environment, or insights from research. Equally as important, inspiration for the unique character of the design is derived from stories, added elements of complexity, or purposeful breaks in the system.
Whatever it is that I do, I thoroughly enjoy being challenged.
