The result of an invited competition, 5 Murray Rose Avenue is the first of 5 buildings.
The facades of the commercial buildings are a curtain wall system of glass and terracotta panels. The colours were chosen to reflect those found in the sedimentary layers of the adjacent excavation, a brickpit from the site's industrial past. This is complemented with corten steel, bluestone and granite.
