New York, NY
Anchored by 150,000 pounds of precase, prestressed, sandblast concrete panels, the house emerges from ecological and climactic regional circumstances, while simultaneously challenging the aesthetic and spatial constraints of the neighboring built context. Volumetrically, the house steps in dialogue with the geology - sitting at once in the earth and over it.
