The project focuses on the problem of vacant land in Philadelphia. Here, we analysed 5 blocks in Germantown neighborhood which is an economically disadvantaged area with high vacancy rates. The proposed solutions would attempt to make the neighbourhood more attractive to potential buyers by small design interventions in terms of beautification, introducing diverse activities, increasing safety etc. We also proposed a program which would help the new development / changes sustain themselves economically.
