In this problem, an interaction space was to be designed for a day with my idol. The problem demanded a subtle display of relevant motifs in the interiors. Pandit Ravi Shankar is a man who can be called no lesser than a revolutionary. Introducing the sitar to western audiences was no easy task in the early 1900s. Translating Indian philosophy into modern jargon was definitely his forte.  

Elements this special spaces are chosen specially to elicit memories pertaining to music and life incidences. Being a teacher to George Harrison after having training in a traditional Muslim classical music environment, the history of Panditji’s life is richly varied. The design is predominantly aimed at fusing relevant western motifs like organic forms into a classical Islamic intricate setting with jallis.
