This project took the workspace requirements that I found necessary as an architecture student and embodies them within a desk. The large desk surface, cut from one twelve foot, five quarter piece of Honduras Mahogany provides ample room for model building and sketching, while still allowing room for computer design processes. The lightweight, sturdy mortise and tenon elegant frame uses a five degree splay to support and transfer the weight of both the desk work space and shelf down to the ground.
