The project is part of a masterplan aiming to boost and flourish a former industrial neighborhood in Lille and it’s based in a two-steps design: Danon and ILOT 13B.
For both plots materials and detailing are robust referring to the former industrial character of the site. The city’s objective was to have a pragmatic Dutch approach and forms characterized by flush façades and bold window frames.
Danon comprises three buildings located above a shared parking garage, including 124 residential units and 184 parking spaces. The façades of the residential buildings are dark greyish black brick while the office ones are prefabricated light grey-coated concrete.
ILOT 13B’s program is based on a mixed-use typology encompassing private and social housing, offices and a temporary residence plus hotel.
