This is an installation for thesis book show that our studio had in the beginning of the winter quarter 2010.  The initiating idea was to create a cave that runs along the facade of the main window of the gallery, using cardboard tubes.  We developed stalagmite/stalactite idea, with vertical tubes that come from the both ceiling  and floor, meeting in the middle.  In the final design, we came up with four layers of “walls” of varying thickness, with cardboard tube sections.  Two walls in the middle created book cave, while the other two became screen element that covered window and division of space within the gallery.
