Situated in Kunming, Yunnan province, Kunming Dongfeng Plaza is consisted of office tower and residential tower which subtly hint to be twins. They are placed on field of angular, directional podium. The towers frame the city’s skyline, and the podium at ground level animates the urban scene.

Roof tops of the retail, residential and office podium are mosaic of turf, paver and louvers - they are pattern and functional elements at the same time.

Concept for the facade of residential podium is concurrent uniqueness and integrity with the facade of residential tower. Elements of the facade are united under the theme of randomized linearity.  Level 1 and level 2 of podium will be stone clad while level 3 will be a compendium of functional louvers and vision glass, all of them layered by randomized sequence of vertical louvers. The opaque, private and yet energetic aesthetics satisfy both the function of back of house and of reception for approach of public.
