o Perform initial analyses to formulate recommendations and system selections including:
Components and cladding wind pressure calculations.
Load resistance and deflection analyses for glass and metal frame.
Glass composition analysis based on criteria such as structural, thermal, safety, acoustic, bird-friendly.
Ballasted low-slope roof system analysis for wind uplift resistance.
Thermal and condensation risk analyses.
• Energy code filing:
o Assemble EN sets to demonstrate code compliance.
o Respond to objections from DOB review of EN sets.
o COMcheck analysis for envelope trade-off compliance path and envelope backstop.
o Zone Green tabular analysis to qualify for zoning area deduction.
• During construction documents phase:
o Provide typical details in AutoCAD and Revit.
o Provide performance-based specifications in CSI format.
o Provide guidance and markup for architect’s façade and exterior envelope details.
• During construction phase:
o Review submittals including shop drawings and product data, coordinate with in-house engineers on calculations review.
o Respond to RFIs.
o Conduct special inspections (TR1), energy code progress inspections (TR8), FISP repair inspections, QA/QC inspections, mockups review, and provide associated field observation reports.

• Member of the team that serves as AOR for many prominent projects in the city.
• Responsible for the technical design and coordination, codes analyses and filing, construction documents and contract administration of façade and exterior envelope.
• Projects include Rolex headquarter on 5th Avenue in collaboration with design architect David Chipperfield. A new mixed-use commercial high-rise, featuring a high-performance double-skin curtainwall façade that contributes to Zone Green compliance and LEED Platinum certification.
• Another project is 550 Madison in collaboration with design architect Snohetta. The existing high-rise constructed in the 80’s was originally designed by Philip Johnson and later became Sony headquarter. The project involved replacement of existing storefronts, addition of punched windows, savage and replacement of existing granite wall cladding, retrofitting the existing annex structure with new landscape, kiosks, and canopy over the public space.
