Ghost Lab is a 2 week design build workshop hosted by Brian Mckay-Lyons in Nova Scotia. This program is attended by architectural students and patrons from all over the world and teaches skills in craftsmanship along with the importance of building regionally. Working alongside masters of regional modernism such as Peter Stutchbury and Rick Joy, we were able to produce a modest boathouse with a built in sauna on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean. Previous Ghost Labs have been filmed for the PBS documentary; e2, and published in various magazines. It was a great honor to receive a scholarship to be able to attend Ghost Lab 2009.
