BOLD is seeking a creative, motivated, highly collaborative, and self-reliant Marketing Coordinator. This individual will join our team to draft lighting design proposals and to implement marketing initiatives. The Marketing Coordinator's responsibilities also include updating marketing materials and coordinating social media content. A successful candidate must be able to write in a factual, convincing manner and to work under pressure to meet competing deadlines.
Brian Orter Lighting Design, LLC (BOLD) is an architectural lighting design firm located in Chelsea, New York. BOLD is a progressive, diverse, and dynamic company of lighting designers. BOLD’s project types include large-scale hospitality, commercial industries and high-end private residential.
Responsibilities
Receive and review architectural lighting design RFPs (Requests-for-Proposals) from prospective clients for large-scale architecture projects
Draft proposals and supporting documents based on the requirements of the company including graphics standards
Respond to internal and external queries on drafted and submitted proposals
Manage fee amounts and billing contact information in project management software
Develop marketing materials to support business development activities
Prepare and submit awards submissions for projects
Participate in strategy and planning
Maintain positive relationships with clients, architects and other stakeholders
Continually seek and research new sources of prospective clients while providing recommendations to senior leadership
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, English/Literature, Architecture/Lighting Design/Interior Design or a related area
A minimum of three (3) years experience in a marketing position, with an AEC firm a bonus
Excellent knowledge of RFPs/proposals or grant-writing is ideal
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher)
Strong research copy writing, and organizational skills and knowledge of information sources
Ability to read and understand architectural drawings, preferred
Ability to manage multiple simultaneous deadlines
Schedule In-office Monday through Friday, 9:00AM to 6:00 PM This is an in-person, non-hybrid role and the ideal start date would be in May 2024.
Salary $60,000 - $70,000 per year contingent on relevant experience plus benefits
