Spivak Architects is a collaborative design studio specializing in a wide range of project types including residential, hospitality and commercial, from renovation to new construction. We have exciting new opportunities and are looking to add the following position:

Intermediate/Senior Interior Designer with 5+ years of New York City experience

Requirements for candidates:

• Experience with large scale hospitality projects
• Extensive experience managing design projects from start to finish, including conceptualization & development, space planning, client and vendor relationships, purchasing and construction review
• Extensive knowledge of furniture and material specifications
• Possess strong technical skills to develop space plans, furniture layouts, FF&E selections, specifications, and documentation
• Must have excellent graphic presentation skills with ability to sketch, visualize and develop initial design concepts
• Work with external consultants, product representatives, furniture vendors, material suppliers and fabricators to coordinate and detail design intent
• Creative and flexible in design approach, with excellent eye for both presentation and design
• Ability to maintain the office library and arrange product presentations/Lunch & Learns for the office
• Proficiency with Revit preferred (other 3D modeling and rendering experience, such as Rhino, 3ds Max, or Enscape is a plus)
• Self-motivation and the ability to work both individually and as part of a team
• Excellent organization skills and advanced communication skills: friendly and direct communication with clients, consultants and staff is critical to this role
