Pentagram is looking for a designer with 3-5 years experience working on environmental graphic design, media installations, and exhibition design. Candidates should have demonstrated 3D skills, familiarity with interpreting architectural drawing and documentation, and an interest in typography, materials, and how people navigate spaces and stories. We work closely with architects to develop highly integrated signage and media that extend our visual identity work into environments. 

As part of a team, you will support the development of visual and spatial concepts, using plans, elevations, renderings, and physical models. You will also participate in the planning and messaging of sign systems for private and public buildings, and preparing documents for bidding, fabrication, and installation. 

Our projects include cultural and educational institutions, non-profits, urban development,  entertainment, and consumer goods. Candidates will work with a range of clients from initiation through final installation, and will work on multiple projects. 

 

Desired Skills

●      Three to four years professional experience as an architectural/3D designer on signage, interior retail or exhibition design projects

●      Fluency in Adobe Creative Suite tools, especially InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop

●      Proficiency in 3D modeling platforms such as Rhino or AutoCAD

●      Conceptual thinker and strategic designer

●      Understanding the arc from design concept through final production

●      Assist with the design and development of presentations

●      Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at once

●      Strong written and verbal communication skills 

●      Extreme attention to detail

●      Curiosity and eagerness to learn

 

Requirements:

●      Must be eligible to work in the US

●      Initially hybrid WFH/on site, with future ability to transition to on site
