Studio AR&D Architects is a Los Angeles based architecture firm that offers a creative and collaborative work environment with a growing portfolio of work that seeks to be both poetic and meaningful in every detail.

Currently, we are seeking an BIM Manager who can help contribute to both the creative and production work coming from Studio AR&D Architects. Work tasks will include working with project teams from concept through construction and leading the process of generating digital models and project information in Revit. BIM Manager responsibilities will include BIM workflow, promoting modeling best practices, template management, family creation and clash detection. You should be ready to jump into projects to handle Revit coordination, act as a knowledge resource for staff and perform modeling production to meet deadlines.

Day-to-day tasks include (but not limited to):

  • Oversee the use of BIM/Revit software firm-wide, including installing, configuring maintaining, and supporting all BIM installations
  • Develop workflows to review BIM models to ensure model data is consistent and compliant with project contractual requirements and model health check
  • Support project start-up coordination, help teams develop strategies for effective delivery of quality documents and set-up each project
  • Create and maintain Revit template files, BIM policies, and workflow manual
  • Oversee and manage the production of Revit models
  • Assist/create standard Revit families and any additional content in response to specific project needs
  • Serve as the in-house BIM expert and resource for staff, ensuring regular communication and coordination among BIM/Revit users across the firm
  • Lead BIM quality control efforts including proper modeling and adherence to standards
  • Assist production staff with development of Revit content to meet deadlines
  • Participating in collaborative design process from concept through construction documents
  • Making site visits to document existing conditions and communicate them to other staff

Requirements -

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Architecture or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with BIM using Revit platform
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or another related field
  • Experience working with a project team and consultants in schematic design through construction admin
  • Strong interest in modern & contemporary architecture
  • Ability to multi-task while maintaining a high level of detail and accuracy
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines and deliver
  • Reliable transportation to travel to and from job sites upon request
  • Must be able to communicate BIM concepts to all levels of users
  • Must be extremely organized
