Design Assistant – Architecture & Interiors

  • Assist Employer in all deliverables as needed, with all manner of documents, presentation or otherwise (AutoCAD drawings, 3D modeling, InDesign Precedent Study, Graphic Specifications, hand sketches, etc). 
  • Provide additional point of contact to clients throughout project process.
  • Participate in Client Meetings. Document detailed Meeting Agendas & following Minutes of all Client or GC site meetings
  • Prepare AutoCAD Drawings throughout process

    • Survey sites & document existing conditions on paper on site and then subsequently in AutoCAD
    • Concept Design Plan & Elevations Options
    • Schematic Design / Design Development Presentation Drawings 
    • Construction Document Sets for Building Review and subsequently DOB submissions 
    • Construction Administration Sketches as needed
  • Develop 3D Models & Renderings for in-house design, client deliverable, or any other use
  • Develop any and all documentation required to submit Projects for review to Client’s/Client’s Rep, Building Condo/Coop, Landmarks Committees, DOB, etc. Documentation can include narrative scope of work, letters to neighbors, letters to management, etc
  • Develop any and all documentation required to submit Project for Bid, including, but not limited to Plans, Elevations & Details, narrative scope of work, RFI (Request for Information) responses, Bid Leveling Document (Accounting Document comparing GC Bid Prices for Client use)
  • Assist with the Interior Decoration aspects of the firm, and each project’s FF&E, which includes but is not limited to tile, plumbing fixtures, stone, paint, wall paper, furniture, hardware, drapery / shades, light fixtures, etc.
  • Assist with the Interior Decoration aspects of the firm to place orders for all FF&E across projects including creating trade accounts, gather samples, place orders, set schedules & budgets, follow up on orders, check delivered products and oversee installing the design elements
  • Work closely with all 3rd party consultants, trade partners and clients
  • Schedule regular site visits to ensure progress of projects 
  • Assist in overall business development and marketing attempts spanning company website, renderings, photo shoots and social media as and when required
