Studio Michael Ellison is a growing New York City Design firm seeking a creative, well-rounded, motivated and organized Project Architect with 4+ years of experience. Our current projects are in the Hamptons, Miami and Connecticut.

The preferred applicant would be, in office and responsible for taking a leadership role on multiple projects. This would include, but not be limited to, managing day-to-day assignments, working closely with the Principal and assigned staff, developing construction and filing drawing sets, and communicating with consultants and contractors to ensure coordination on projects. The right candidate will have strong design skills and a experience across all phases of a project.

Candidate should meet the following criteria:

• B.Arch or M.Arch from accredited institution
• 4-7 years relevant experience in an architecture office
• Architectural License desired, or working towards one
• CA experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Rhino + Rendering software. Experience in Revit and Escape is a plus but not necessary..
• Knowledge of construction standards and codes, materials, and building systems.
• Experience working with NYC codes and zoning preferred.
• Experience in residential projects preferred.
• Excellent communication and organization skills.
• Desire and ability to work in a fast-paced and rigorous environment.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and with team members. 
• Approach every design and research project with creativity and inquisitiveness.

This is a full-time position in-office at our New York studio in Midtown. Must be able to work in the US. Salary and benefits are commensurate with experience. Must have a drivers license.
