REX is seeking a Marketing & Communications Coordinator to work in close partnership with REX’s Leadership Team and Strategy Consultant in New York City.

We are ready to welcome into our fast-paced studio an entrepreneurial and agile Marketing & Communications Coordinator to handle the daily marketing, public relations, and media activities. The right candidate must have proven experience with marketing and communications in an architecture or design firm, and the ambition to grow in responsibility as REX expands. They must also be a strong writer, extremely organized, detail-oriented, and have a strong ability to multitask. 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Leadership Team and Strategy Consultant with all marketing, public relations, and media efforts
  • Identify, lay out, and produce RFP/Q, competition, and award opportunities
  • Organize, develop, maintain, and update digital assets, including standard written and graphic marketing materials and project imagery
  • Create original writing for marketing and communication initiatives
  • Coordinate communication of marketing activities with studio leaders on a weekly basis
  • Conduct client-, market-, and project-specific research, as necessary
  • Maintain press lists and coordinate outgoing press materials
  • Collaborate with internal leadership and external contacts to develop and manage press releases and public announcements
  • Manage social media accounts (contents and postings) and maintain website 
  • Coordinate public events, lectures, and office tours
  • Track firm lectures, events, articles, and publications
  • Support REX’s Leadership Team on new and special project initiatives 

Skills and qualifications:

  • Two years (minimum) of experience in a similar position with a leading design firm
  • Passion for architecture, the fine arts, and design
  • Superb writing and editing skills
  • Proven high standards of work products, and a sharp eye for detail and quality assurance
  • Solid graphic design and layout skills (strong design sensibility)
  • Advanced knowledge of print design and production
  • Advanced proficiency in the Adobe Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficiency with WordPress and WordPress CMS
  • Fluency in social media and search engine optimization (SEO)
  • Strong time management, self-motivation, and communication skills
  • Additional language or translation skills, if possible
  • Bachelor’s degree
