Job Title: Technical Designer/Draftsperson

The Technical Design department is at the center of all activities at Cinnabar, and functions as a critical node between Project Management and the shop floor.

Our Technical Designers create the road map for fabricating bespoke projects by carefully coordinating with our clients, project management, and fabrication departments.  We creatively engage in the design process through hand sketches, 3-D models, physical models, and mock-ups.

Many of our clients have a clear vision and we quickly move them through project specific phases of design from concept through shop drawings. Other clients come to Cinnabar with an idea and look to our team to guide them through a full Design-Build process. While developing our projects, designers work to solve the physicality, function, materials, and structure of elements with help and guidance from our Technical Directors fabrication departments.

The successful candidate thrives in a collaborative environment, proactively communicating across departments and with clients to keep the design process fluid and productive. They enjoy the creative challenge of problem solving and always strive for accurate and clear technical and contract drawings.
