Develop architectural plans to be used to communicate the design to clients and the construction plan to builders.

 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Develop space plans, provide design concepts to meet architectural and interior design solutions. 

• Develop a construction packet  to submit for permitting including but not limited to floor plans, elevations, lighting and switching plans, sections, and reflected ceiling plans.

• Ability to create complex drawings with minimal supervision.

• Timely and accurate incorporation of redlines.

• Recommend selection of colors, materials, furnishings, lighting, and accessories. 

• Provide technical drawings for trades to be able to fabricate our designs. This includes but is not limited to highly detailed cabinetry drawings with moulding callouts and slab fabrication drawing for custom counters and sinks. 

• Develop finish schedules and prepare color books that are accurately coordinated with schedules and construction drawings. 

• Coordinate and implement the proposed design plan. 

• Specify and create furniture plans for client presentation and installation. 

• Responsible for insuring accuracy of measurements for custom cabinetry and furniture. 

• Verify and draw as built plans and elevations using site field measurements. 

• Understand future trends in home/building design and interiors industry and develops designs based on these trends. 

• Coordinate with general and sub-contractors while maintaining thorough and accurate communication and project documentation from project inception to completion. 

• Responsible for all internal design-related communication. 

  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management. 

 QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related field. 

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in job offered or related.

• Working knowledge of construction, space planning, and budgeting. 

• Expert in trends, construction methods, finishes and furniture specifications as well as project administration. 

• Strong graphic and visualization skills, be capable of using 2D/3D software, including AutoCAD, Sketch up, PhotoShop, Illustrator, and Google Suite.
