Job Description

Junior Designers support Designers and report to a Senior Designer. Must possess working knowledge of architecture and are expected to communicate and update the project lead on a regular basis so the team is aware of new or important information that may impact the project. They are creative, curious and open to receive direction.

Essential Job Functions

  • Maintain confidentiality of all proprietary information as required by Shamshiri.
  • Follow all Company Policies, and be on time to work as scheduled.
  • Meet with the immediate manager to review assignments, changes in projects, and other information pertinent to the job performance.
  • Support the team in all areas of architectural design under the supervision of a Designer or Senior Designer
  • Assist in coordination with suppliers, consultants, and other third parties as directed by the project leads.
  • Keep clear and accessible records of correspondence and meetings.
  • Understanding of the scope of work and foreseeing potential conflicts.
  • Understanding of products and methods within his or her discipline.
  • Understanding of technical manuals to ensure compliance with required codes and standards.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with interior designers, suppliers, consultants, & other third parties.
  • Produce CAD drawings, renderings, layouts, and graphic presentations under the supervision of a Designer or Senior Designer.
  • Record and produce timely and accurate timesheets weekly.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor and management.

 Job Requirements

  • Two years of professional experience demonstrating excellence in design and implementation on several projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related field
  • Strong graphic presentation skills 
  • Proficient in the software used to create design and contract documents within the Junior Designer’s discipline. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Sketchup, Rhino, V-Ray, Adobe Creative Suite 
  • US Resident
