Job Description

The Architectural Designer will support the Design Principal and report to Senior Designers on multiple projects. They are creative, self-motivated, capable of mentoring and guiding junior staff, and able to work in a fast-paced design environment.

Essential Job Functions

·       Maintain confidentiality of all proprietary information as required by Shamshiri.

·       Follow all Company Policies, and be on time to work, as scheduled.

·       Meet with the immediate manager to review assignments, changes in projects, and other information pertinent to the job performance.

·    Support the team in all areas of architectural design: Concept, Design Development, Construction Documentation & Administration under the supervision of a Senior Designer

·    Serve as a contact with suppliers, consultants, and other third parties as directed by the Senior Designer.

·    Work closely with teams to help produce and coordinate highly detailed project drawing sets that will be redlined by others under the supervision of a Senior Designer.

·    Produce renderings, layouts, and graphic presentations.

·    Collaborate and coordinate seamlessly with interior designers, suppliers, consultants, & other third parties

·    Keep clear and accessible records of correspondence and meetings.

·    Communicate potential problems to the Senior Designer and alert when deadlines or milestones might not be met ahead of time.

·    Use technical manuals to ensure compliance with required codes and standards.

·    Research and develop design and produce solutions to be presented for consideration to the team, while keeping faithful to the design intent and direction of the Studio.

·    Record and produce timely and accurate timesheets weekly.

·    Other duties as assigned by supervisor and management.

Job Requirements

·    Four years minimum of professional experience demonstrating excellence in design and implementation on several completed projects 

·    Proficient in AutoCAD, Sketchup, Rhino, V-Ray, Adobe Creative Suite and related software used to create design and contract documents within the Designer’s discipline.

·    Ability to collaborate comfortably with new and existing clients

·    Strong graphic presentation skills 

·    Interest in development and growth in responsibility

·    Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related field

·    US Resident
