Project Designer

McBride Architects is seeking to hire a Project Designer for their Single Family Residential practice. The Project Architect will act as a liaison and team member to solve problems when they arise. The Project Designer will work with Project Architects in providing 3D modeling for project design and development. The perfect candidate will have 5 -10 years of experience in a United States architectural firm specializing in single-family residential work.

The right candidate will possess:

  • 5-10 years of experience working for a residential firm or principally on single-family residential projects, with expertise in design and construction

  • Excellent skills in client communications, contract administration, project scheduling, and consultant coordination

  • Ability to produce construction documents and oversee construction administration with minimal supervision

  • Fluency in AutoCAD, preferably with experience in SketchUp, Rhino or comparable modeling program, and Adobe Creative Suite

  • Extensive understanding of materials, detailing, construction processes, systems, and methodologies

  • The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, focused, and self-motivated.

  • Exceptional multi-tasking skills and ability to work toward multiple deadlines.
