Riggs Cooper Art Partners is a NYC corporate and hospitality art consulting firm. We design and deliver art programs that align with our client’s business objectives through strategic planning, relationships with exceptional industry partners and skillful execution. Our small team works intensely to a high standard, takes ownership, and loves what we do. We will teach you our art consulting method from top to bottom and train you in every aspect of the business. Therefore, we are seeking applicants who see the job as an exciting opportunity to learn our practice and then quickly move into a high-responsibility role. 

The position is based in downtown Manhattan and remote workers will not be considered.



The Junior Art Consultant’s objective is to support the firm’s design, client relations and business development efforts. The Junior Art Consultant will:

  • Translate client’s priorities and the lead art consultant’s vision into tangible, appropriate and creative design ideas; communicate and direct project/design vision to creative vendors
  • Attend art fairs, visit studios/galleries, call vendors and creative partners and conduct independent research to source art ideas and solutions
  • Prepare research, meeting decks, and other relevant materials for lead art consultant to review
  • Efficiently and effectively communicate artwork attributes and value to art consultant and clients
  • Design framing treatments
  • Interpret architectural plans/interior design specifications  
  • Perform administrative duties to support lead art consultant
  • Communicate with VIP clients (verbal and written)
  • Maintain reputation and increase awareness of RCAP brand
  • Develop and support new revenue-generating streams; conduct lead research, cold calls and networking



  • Comfortable and experienced working with high-level clients and project partners
  • Mature, polite, confident, and competent
  • An excellent listener
  • An eye and enthusiasm for artwork and creative solutions that are appropriate for offices and hospitality spaces and/or uniquely support a client’s agenda
  • The ability to see the “big picture” and how details contribute to making it a reality
  • The ability to manage up and down, to take direction and to “run with” ideas
  • Energetic, creative and self-sufficient; actively seeks out new resources, ideas and inspiration
  • Positive attitude, lots of energy, no task is too small


  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, architectural floorplans and elevations and, ideally, should be familiar with framing/displays


  • 5+ years in interior design / client service / sales / related industry
  • Art background (i.e. BA in Art History) or active interest in art and design
  • Client-facing roles
